The House of Representatives has considered and approved the 2017 budget of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The budget is N364 billion and the breakdown goes thus;

• Personnel Cost — N17.797 billion
• Internal Capital Expenditure — N4.402 billion
• Development Projects — N329.85 billion
• Overhead — N12.459 billion

The consideration of the budget followed a motion by Hon. Nicholas Mutu drawn from a first line charge, the budget is for the period ending May 31, 2018.
