PIND is collaborating with  Wennovation hub on a Youth-Enabled Fish Farming AgriHack in West Africa, supported by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA).

The objective of the programme is to boost fish farming value chain engagement of youth entrepreneurs specifically in the development of:
  1. Fish Farming technologies and techniques, including platforms for information sharing.
  2. Aquaculture business models, including cooperative communities and devices/softwares that enables such virtual to real world transitions.
  3. Aquaculture processing including preservation, packaging, marketing and platforms that enhance them.
  4. Aquaculture by-product processing and sales, especially trading platforms that shortens the distance from the farm to the pot or end-users, as the case may be.
  5. Aquaculture e-platforms for pricing and sales optimization
Towards this, a series of activities have been planned by Wennovation hub this year for the AgriHack event, beginning with a stakeholders’ engagement forum for actors in aquaculture value chain in the Niger Delta.
