The need for Aquaculture Service Providers was birthed when the Foundation for Partnership Initiative in the Niger Delta (PIND) discovered that fish farmers in the Niger Delta would yield better products if they had access to skill sets around Aquaculture Best Management Practices. PIND then identified individuals in the sector that can impact sustainable business information (at a commercial level) through training, demonstration and access to input. PIND trained these individuals, who in turn train fish farmers in the Niger Delta.
